Greene Central High School will be hosting FAFSA Day on Saturday, February 19, at Lenoir Community College in Snow Hill.
Parents can come out to receive help filing for financial aid electronically. It is a great chance to receive help with paying for college tuition.
FAFSA Day is held throughout America at numerous sites and is put on by the College Foundation of North Carolina.
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) determines how much financial aid can be rewarded depending on each persons financial situation. The financial aid will be given to students through grants, educational loans, and scholarships.
This year FAFSA Day will be held from 9:00 to 12:00 and is open to all students planning to attend college during the 2011-2012 school year.
Students and parents are encouraged to bring 2010 federal tax returns, FAFSA PINs, and a 2011-2012 FAFSA on the web worksheet.
For more information on what to bring, go to https://www.fafsa.gov to find out more.
